Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission Process

All abstract submissions must be completed online. Please ensure you read the submission guidelines carefully before proceeding to the Abstract Submission page.

Abstract Formatting

StructureAbstracts must be structured with the following headings: Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
ProofreadingPlease carefully proofread your abstract before submission. Once registered, abstracts will be published exactly as submitted, including any typographical or grammatical errors.

Presentation Guidelines

The presentation format consists of oral sessions using physical (printed) posters. Accepted presentations must be prepared as printed, vertically-oriented paper posters (e-posters are not accepted).

  • Session Structure: Poster Session will be guided by a moderator.
  • Time Allocation: Each presenter is allocated a total of 10 minutes in total (7 minutes for the oral presentation followed by 3 minutes for Q&A).
  • Notification: Selection results and specific presentation schedules will be sent at a later date.

Poster Specifications (Poster Display)

Please prepare a single-page, vertically-oriented paper poster. E-posters are not accepted.

  • Board Dimensions: The poster board measures approximately 210cm (height) and 90cm (width).
  • Poster Size: Poster dimensions must not exceed 190cm (height) and 90cm (width).
  • Poster Number: The secretariat will affix a poster number (20cm x 20cm) in the upper left corner of the board.
  • Mounting: Thumbtacks for securing the poster to the board will be provided on-site.
  • Viewing: Posters will be displayed on freestanding vertical boards for attendees to view throughout the day.

Ethical codes and conflicts of interest in FADAS
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest (COI) at the Annual Meetings of FADAS

All presenters at the 17th FADAS are required to disclose any conflicts of interest. The primary presenter is responsible for disclosing any conflicts of interest on behalf of all co-authors. Please declare any financial relationships with industry or related organizations for all co-authors covering the past 3 years up to the time of abstract submission.

Criteria for Self-Declaration
Please read the following criteria carefully and select "Yes" or "No" during submission.

  1. Remuneration of 1,000,000 JPY or more per year from a single private company, corporate body, or for-profit organization.
  2. Profit from stocks in a single private company amounting to 1,000,000 JPY or more per year, or holding 5% or more of the total issued shares of a single private company.
  3. Patent royalties or license fees from a single organization amounting to 1,000,000 JPY or more per year.
  4. Remuneration such as daily allowances, attendance fees, or lecture fees from a single organization amounting to 500,000 JPY or more per year.
  5. Manuscript fees from a single organization amounting to 500,000 JPY or more per year.
  6. Research funding from a single organization amounting to 2,000,000 JPY or more per year.
  7. Scholarship donations or incentives paid to the declarant’s institution by a single organization amounting to 2,000,000 JPY or more per year.
  8. Any other forms of remuneration (e.g., travel support, gifts) from a single organization amounting to 100,000 JPY or more per year.

Those who select "Yes" in the Conflict of Interest Declaration, please download the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (Form 1) and include a statement regarding the conflict of interest, referencing the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (Form 1), on the second slide of your oral presentation or at the bottom of your poster presentation.

Ethics Declaration

The primary presenter is required to declare the status of ethical review. Please select the applicable item from the following options. Registration should be completed only after receiving approval from the ethics committee of the affiliated institutions.

Ethics Declaration Categories

  1. Approved by the ethics committee of the affiliated institution for research presentations (e.g., animal experiments, intervention studies, observational studies). Please provide your approval number if approved.
  2. Informed consent obtained from the patient or their family for case reports.
  3. Other studies/reports that do not require an ethics declaration.

FADAS 2026 Best Presentation Awards

Objective

To recognize and encourage outstanding research and clinical achievements in the field of dental anesthesiology, and to foster the next generation of professionals at the 17th FADAS/54th JDSA.

Requirements

Must submit an abstract for the 17th FADAS.
Three awardees will be selected from the registered abstracts by the FADAS judging committee.

Eligibility

  • No age limit
  • The abstract must be registered for a poster session at the 17th FADAS.
  • The applicant must be able to attend the awards ceremony at the joint party of the 54th JDSA and the 17th FADAS.

Selection Criteria

Evaluated on a 5-point scale (5 = highest, 1 = lowest) based on the following:

  • Scientific significance of the research OR clinical/educational value of the case report.
  • Ability to clearly explain the content and effectively respond to questions or clinical discussions.
  • Clarity of the presentation and overall design of the poster.
